Free Idea # 314 - Tree limbs power generator

Manufacture cheap, tiny accelerometer-like devices to be places on the tips of tree limbs. As the wind blows the branch back and forth, the device's load would rock, generating power.

Actually, Bodgers were wood workers who would travel with loggers in Great Britian before the introduction of electricity. They would turn wood on a lathe that was powered by the tension created from bending a sapling to the ground and connecting a rope, twisted around the piece of wood being shaped on the lathe. I had to look it up to understand how it worked, but it is pretty amazing. The originator of this post has a creative, open mind. If I didn't consider myself the same, I would call anonymous the retard.
